Session formats
Submissions are welcome in three formats: symposium, paper and poster. One participant should be a first author of no more than two presentations.
Regardless of the number of presentations one should act once as a chairperson of a symposium and once as a discussant.
Symposia
Symposia provide an opportunity to examine one topic in depth preferably from different perspectives. Symposium sessions are directed by a chairperson, involving three or four presenters and a discussant from at least two different countries. A symposium is scheduled for one and half hours, and is comprised of three or four presentations followed by a discussion. Symposia proposals are submitted by the chairperson. Contributors of the symposia should register for the conference before submission.
Paper sessions
Paper sessions are oral presentations of four or five papers, followed by a discussion with the audience. Paper sessions are scheduled for one and a half hours, normally with four or five presenters, each with approximately 15 minutes for their presentation. Thematic sessions are moderated by a chair appointed by the Scientific Programme Committee.
Poster sessions
Poster sessions consist of 8–10 approximately 5 minutes oral presentations about each poster. After the authors’ brief presentations poster sessions offer opportunities for individualized, informal discussions with interested attendees. Poster sessions are moderated by a chair appointed by the Scientific Programme Committee. Please bring posters sized 150x150cm.
