Flow, Student Engagement, Deep Learning, and the Role of Culture:
Findings from the Last 25 Years of Working with Csikszentmihalyi and Colleagues

His research interests and areas of focus have included student engagement, flow, integrative STEM and STEAM education, and teacher professional development. His research has yielded five authored or edited books, including the recently published, Integrative STEM and STEAM Education for Real-Life Learning (Springer, 2024), and Optimal Learning Environments to Promote Student Engagement (Springer, 2013), as well as over 45 other publications.
